The Engagement Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of an enterprise HCM SaaS solution on large projects. The Engagement Manager will drive the client implementation and will be involved in the development of several key project deliverables (e.g., charter, project/staffing plan, issue logs, etc.) and work with the Client project manager to resolve issues that stand in the way of project success. The Engagement Manager is responsible for managing the agreed-to budget and delivering a profitable project.  The Engagement Manager is needed to provide implementation, business process, and HCM product expertise to their engagements.

Responsibilities/Experience/Skills/Education:

  • 6+ years of Project Management experience implementing global enterprise HCM solutions for large, complex organizations
  • Bachelor degree required; PMP certification a plus
  • Ability to manage 1 – 2 large projects simultaneously
  • A balance of functional (business) and technical experience; knowledge of Internet technology
  • Previous consulting experience either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software company
  • Previous experience with a major systems integrator and/or an enterprise software company a plus
  • Experience implementing HCM solutions using SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, ADP or similar applications
  • Working knowledge in at least two of the following business areas: Human Capital Management, Compensation, Benefits, Performance Management, Talent Management, Absence Management, Payroll
  • Excellent organization, time management and communication skills
  • Ensure projects are properly planned and staffed
  • Ensure projects are delivered within the budget and schedule outlined in the project Statement Of Work (SOW)
  • Develop expertise in the Company’s Implementation Methodology and use it on all engagements
  • Ensure clients take advantage of industry best practices
  • Manage the change order process when the client is asking resources to perform tasks that are outside the scope of the SOW
  • Business development skills and previous service sales experience a plus
  • Identify opportunities to position other service offerings
  • Demonstrate a passion for customer service; ensure the client can serve as a reference once the client is in production
  • Demonstrate ability to quickly develop expertise with a new, enterprise SaaS product suite
  • Assist in the transition of the customer from Professional Services to Product Support
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Work with the Delivery Assurance group to ensure compliance with agreed to project checkpoints
  • Present at Executive Steering Committee meetings
  • Work with the client Project Manager to identify/resolve all issues that could impact project scope and/or timeframes
  • Be a liaison for Professional Services when interacting with Sales and/or Product Management
  • Participate in the sales cycle when requested to gather requirements, formulate delivery approach and develop a proposal/SOW
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to those Professional Service resources working on their implementations
